The idea for “Children of War” started off as a video game concept. I started writing the script in 2009, while I was bored in Iraq. The script format was written with sequences and scenes that would happen throughout the story. This scene would have been the first battle that the player goes through in the game, and introduces the very basic controls of the battle system such as moving and attacking. The player would be able to grab sticks and stones laying around the field to fight off this wolf. In this version, we kept it simple and Snider uses a nearby stick to fight off this beast. I originally wanted to show a few panels of the fight action. But to keep this chapter within a reasonable time limit, we stuck with a definitive panel to show the end result.
